Gwen V. Kordonowy reading 'Recognition'
Gwen Kordonowy is in the middle of enjoying a two-year hiatus from her real life in Boston, where she teaches academic writing and cultural studies. She’s been trying out fiction as a genre for exploring themes like migration and historical memory. Gwen’s returning this winter for a second Level I course with the Collective.

Kristen Langereis reading 'In the Meantime'
Kristen Langereis hails originally from the United States and has lived in Amsterdam for just a bit more than a decade. She has taken courses with the Collective both in Amsterdam and online and recently joined the Level IV course. She is working on a collection of short stories and flash fiction.

Marc Rovira-Navarro reading 'I Like Pancakes'
Marc Rovira-Navarro is a planetary scientist from Barcelona. He moved from his home town six years ago and since then he has lived in Los Angeles, Copenhagen and now Delft. When he is not thinking about Jupiter and Saturn moons, he writes short stories. He joined the International Writers' Collective last year to participate in the Level I course and started to experiment with poetry.

Anthony Burford reading 'The Retirement Bureau'
Anthony Burford is originally from the UK but has been living in the Netherlands for the past 10 years as a teacher. He just recently completed the Level I course in Den Haag and is now taking the Level II course online. Anthony is currently working on an extended piece of writing set in the world of the short story he is reading here.

Wendy Rudder reading 'Remember'
Wendy Rudder is originally from Barbados but has called many cities home over the years before settling 5 years ago in Amsterdam, where she now lives with her fiancé. Wendy has been a part of Level I & II courses online, which ensures that the frequent travel that inspires her writing doesn’t interrupt her classes. She's joining the online Level III course this winter, to give herself a bigger challenge and make some real progress on bringing her mystery novel idea to reality.

Sauci Bosner reading 'Pebbles and Duck Fat'
Sarilyn Bosner, Hebrew name Sauci, sixty-six years young, born in the United States came to life in the Netherlands. Social activist, educator, mother, cook, observer of human inconsistencies and accomplishments. "Pebbles and Duck Fat" is one of Sauci’s efforts to highlight holocausts, then and now. She’s been a student with the Collective since its inception and is currently honing her work in a private tutorial.

Vanessa Hudig reading 'Fünf von der Jazzband'
Vanessa enjoys writing in English even though Dutch is her mother tongue. As she says, 'I am aware that maybe I make mistakes and that sometimes the meaning doesn’t fit or the word is not quite right but I think that can also give an interesting effect—not to have the language completely under control; sometimes it dashes off like a pack of wild dogs.' She's an artist, art teacher and mother of two.

Erik Raschke reading 'Aggression' (faculty)
Erik Raschke is a teacher and former reporter for The Newsletter and Belfast Telegraph. He was also a Peace Corps volunteer in Armenia and a certified New York public school teacher working with lower-income students in the upper-Manhattan/Bronx area. He became a dual Dutch and American citizen in 2013. He lives in Amsterdam with his wife and three boys and teaches for the Collective.
