Welcome to the Quarantine Cafe

Hello writer,

One of our teachers who didn't want to risk infection for her weekly writing meetup but also didn't want to give up the accountability and community it offered, suggested meeting online. And hence the idea for the Quarantine Cafe was born. We decided to make the meeting platform we use for our online programme available for writing meetups during the hours when we don't have classes scheduled.

Make a date and show up—you'll find a friendly face at the other end of the computer or phone screen (maybe several). You can also just chance it and see whether someone is already online or join one of the writing meetups hosted by our teachers in the next several weeks before our spring term starts (schedule below). The Cafe will be open as long as there are at least two people online.

Happy writing!
