Bio

Kate is an American writer and book editor. Before moving to Amsterdam, Kate lived for five years in New Delhi, an experience that informed her novel, Chloe in India, published by Penguin Random House in 2016. Kate worked in New York as a Senior Editor for PublicAffairs, an independent publishing house where she acquired and edited books on contemporary history, journalism, politics, and biography. Kate writes the occasional Op-Ed piece for the Boston Globe and the International New York Times as well as hotel reviews for iescape.com and art history essays for academic journals. She is a graduate of Harvard University and the University of Amsterdam, where she recently completed a Research Masters’ degree in Arts of the Netherlands. She lives in Oud Zuid with her husband, three daughters, and beloved black Labrador, Hiska.
