Abra Bertman lives in Amsterdam where she teaches English Literature and advises students in creative writing at the International School of Amsterdam. Her writing has appeared in Beloit Poetry Journal, The Citron Review, Rust + Moth, Slipstream, and WomenArts Quarterly Journal, among others. Abra’s poem “Way Bread” was nominated for the Best of the Net in 2016. Currently she is writing The Mowing Hour, a memoir in verse about family disintegration and the Dutch elm disease in 1970’s America.
