Join us for an evening of inspiration and fun. Learn how your favourite authors work their magic, receive an exercise to begin a story or a poem, and meet great people. This class is from 17:00 to 19:00 at Boekhandel van Rossum, Beethovenstraat 32, 1077 JH Amsterdam.

Advanced registration is required. Instruction is free but there’s a small fee of €5* to cover the cost of handouts, drinks and snacks and so that we get an accurate idea of how many handouts, snacks and, most importantly, teachers we need. We have had waiting lists in the past, so to make sure you get a spot, don’t wait to register.

We’ll kick off the evening with a short talk on the secrets of becoming a great writer. Then we’ll break into small groups (8-12 people) where we’ll look at some techniques you can start using immediately to give greater power to your stories, poems or memoir. You’ll also get to make a start on the exercise.

Afterwards, we’ll have wine, beer, and bites. We hope you can stay and mingle.
