If you can’t make one or more online sessions, no problem. Each week you’ll receive a recording as well as handouts. You’ll also get one or two short exercises per week you can do in your own time and share in our online forum if you’d like. And you can post questions to our Q&A forum anytime during the course period.

This course will cover the following and more:

Even if you’re not planning to write a book-length memoir, you’ll learn plenty of valuable tricks and tips to make your true stories shine.

This course is taught by Ellen Keith. Ellen holds a BA in history and creative writing from the University of Alberta and an MFA in creative writing from the University of British Columbia (with a concentration on the novel and memoir). Her historical novel The Dutch Wife won the HarperCollins/UBC Prize for Best New Fiction and reached #1 on the Globe & Mail Canadian Fiction Bestseller List and #12 on Publishers Weekly American bestsellers list.
