This Level IV creative writing workshop runs from 5 October – 7 December. If government guidance and student location permits, we may schedule a couple of in-person classes at Sarphatistraat 213 in Amsterdam, but the default format of this course is online. The course meets on Tuesdays from 18:30 – 20:30/21:00 (depending on class size) Amsterdam time.
The Level IV workshop is designed to support writers in completing independent projects: story collections, poetry chapbooks or novels.
REQUIREMENTS
This course is open to writers who have completed two terms of Level III and by permission of the instructor. If you’re new to this course, please contact us before registering.
HOW IT WORKS
During the term, you’ll have five opportunities to submit work for critique (up to 3000 words per submission, due the Saturday before class) and will receive written feedback as well as benefiting from the in-class discussion of your work. You’ll also have access to our exercise library.
Based on your availability and what you’re working on, you will be placed in one of two blocks to determine the dates your work will be critiqued. Each block meets every other week. Class size is 4 – 5 students per block.
OUR REFUND POLICY
No matter how early you register, if something changes and you can’t join the course, you can let us know at least 72 hours before the first class (so we can offer your spot to someone else) and we’ll give you a complete refund. You can find the full details of our generous refund policy in our terms.
