REQUIREMENTS
This course is open to writers who have completed two terms of Level III and by permission of the instructor. If you’re new to this course, please contact us before registering.
HOW IT WORKS
During the term, you’ll have five opportunities to submit work for critique (up to 5000 words per submission, due the Sunday before class). You can bring in stories, chapters, outlines, query letters, synopses – whatever will be most helpful to you. There is no written critiquing required, however, you are expected to read each submission in advance and engage with the writer’s questions. Each writer gets an equal amount of time in class where we will focus completely on your work. You’ll also receive optional exercises to spark inspiration, offer new perspectives and introduce fresh techniques.
You will be placed in one of two groups to determine the dates your work will be critiqued. We will try to accommodate any scheduling conflicts – first come, first served. The groups meet on alternating weeks. Class size is 4 – 5 students per group.
OUR REFUND POLICY
No matter how early you register, if something changes and you can’t join the course, you can let us know at least 72 hours before the first class (so we can offer your spot to someone else) and we’ll give you a complete refund. You can find the full details of our generous refund policy in our terms.
