Based on the rapidly evolving situation with COVID-19 in the Netherlands (map of confirmed cases here) we have decided to do the following:
- Postpone our 1-day memoir course from 22 March. Our plan was to reschedule later in the spring when we hoped the outbreak would be contained. Given the current situation, we are now considering how we can repackage the course for online. We will let you know. Once the course is rescheduled, if you are unable to attend, you will of course receive a full refund.
- We switched our remaining Amsterdam winter courses to online. All participants received emails and instructions.
- Spring courses are going ahead but in-person courses have been moved to online—at least for the foreseeable future. If you registered for an in-person course in Amsterdam or The Hague, you will receive an update by email. If any changes to the schedule or format don’t work for you, we’re happy to give you a full refund.
- Because community is even more important during this time of social-distancing and self-isolating, we opened the Quarantine Cafe—a virtual meetup spot for writers. All are welcome.
Let’s all do our bit to stay safe and keep others safe. We will continue to be in touch via our site and by email to enrolled students and newsletter subscribers.
Stay safe, sane & keep writing,
Sarah, Faculty & Staff
Good to know that we’re safe taking courses with you!
