Megin Jiménez is the author of Mongrel Tongue (2019), selected by Daniel Borzutzky for the 1913 Press Prize for First Books. She grew up in Mérida, Venezuela and Denver, USA, and received her MFA from The New School, New York. She has worked as a translator at the United Nations and the International Criminal Court.
Her poems, essays and stories have been published by the Kenyon Review, the Best American Poetry Blog, Barrelhouse, The Inquisitive Eater, NOO Journal, Barrow Street, Denver Quarterly, LIT, Tarpaulin Sky, and other journals.
She lives in Leiden, the Netherlands.
